Catch The Necessary Stage’s Theatre for Seniors in action at Rise of the Phoenix, a double-bill featuring brand new works by members who will be playwriting, directing, acting and working backstage, all under the mentorship of theatre professionals! Presented as part of A Date with Friends 2015, Rise of the Phoenix comprises two plays, Waste (written by Faith Ng and directed by Senior Associate Thomas Lim) and Lost (written by Senior Associate Eleanor Song and directed by Peter Sau).
Join the seniors as they take flight on a new adventure in theatre-making to fulfil the dream of their youths. Come with us on a journey—one through Singapore's waste treatment processes, the other whilst on a search for a missing parent—and explore the intricacies of the ties that bind.
